Skinny Puppy – Use Less

One of my favorite Skinny Puppy songs. Haven’t seen this be on YouTube at all. Skinny Puppy’s an Industrial/Electro-Industrial band from Canada, starting in 1982. They’re known as one of the main bands for popularizing, perhaps even introducing the world to the Industrial genre, and have inspired such artists as Nine Inch Nails and Ministry. This song is from their 2005 Album, The Greater Wrong of the Right, their famous reunion album after their 1996 Album The Process, which was to end the Skinny Puppy act once and for all. This song in particular is famous for containing Tool drummer Danny Carey, performing the drums in this song. Skinny Puppy – Use Less Are we alone? Mission complete To the unknown This is a story This is so sorry [Hard as a stone] Sunk in to deep Run out of air Lung full of heavy It’s feeling heavy Room for one Fossil to break Labor of hate Who are we fooling? What are we doing? [In it on time] [Proof in the meat] Time to consume Doesn’t concern me Under a flag free Are we all completely useless? Are we?Are we? End is unknown Sick and alone This is a dream Meant as a nice thing Meant as a nice thing So pause at the end Cause the effect Shorten the pain Time for reflection On to regret them Are we all completely useless? Are we?Are we?

Ich höre Skinny puppy nun auch schon einige Zeit, und diese Band ist einfach genial. Wie sich Ogres Stimme perfekt an den Sound anpasst!
Wow! Great drumwork..and song in generally.

the song december
no, i checked it, thats not the one that i meant. so frustrating, i used to have that cd without the cd cover but lost it. thanks for trying to help. the song i mean isnt electronic-driven, its bass and guitar driven. i dont know the lyrics, but a 2-word phrase is uttered,”keep dreaming” something like that, with warbled sounds of digust after it. later theres some screaming with harsh metal-style guitar, also no longer than a 2-word phrase. it sounded most Mysterious, like halloween music.
I believe the song you are thinking of is off Last Rights. It is song number 6 called Scrapyard. I know exactly what you are talking about. I was chilling with headphones on coming down when I heard that the first time. Love it.
drums sound awesome
no i heard “tin omen,” its not the one that i mean. the track that i mean has no more than 2 or 3 short lines sung, actually like short phrases. it sounds very dark and warbled and morbid. also on the same disc is electronic music that sounds like trumpets in a medieval kingdom, you know like trumpets before a king or prince or someone important is about to speak. the medieval trumpets sounding track doesnt have any words at all, the trumpetlike sounds are pl,ayed in a loop with a beat.
Tin Omen has a sample which runs “all good people are asleep and dreaming” and fast guitars, is that the one?
awesome song, catchy, beast
What a beautiful album this was. Introduced me to SP. I can see now how the sound leans a little more to ohgr then SP but still so creative and unique.
We miss you Dwayne Goettel ,Dave “Rave” Ogilvie,Bill Leeb.
I absolutely love you for putting this up <3
Insanely good.
Try imeem and look for these 2 SP CD’s “Mind: The perpetual intercourse” and “Cleanse fold and manipulate”. More than likely it is from one of those. (Both are from the 80′s)
