In which John defends capitalism, the free market, and economic growth with the help of Bubbles the Nerdfighting Puppy, who suffered the emasculation and humiliation of an elephant costume with great aplomb….

I love Willy, I love Kiva, but I DON’T love the free-market. I find the system (in its ideal form) to be brilliantly efficient and practical, BUT it ignores the need for compassion, equality and social justice. Capitalist economics neglect affordable services for the poor and promote exploitation to make profit. So, although I think Kiva is a great aid for the system we’re stuck with now, I think that system kinda sucks. There are more important things than wealth fueled by consumerism.

I just unsubbed from this station after not wanting to watch your videos for the last two months….
1. you talk to fast(I like to breathe when the person in the video breathes-but you edit that out)
2. there are way to many skits and edits clicking back to your face over and over again.
3. I actually could focus on what you were saying when your face isn’t always in the screen.
I like the puppy and this example of capitalism, I really do like your discussion. BUT your editing is annoying

I think rampant capitalism is very important in developing economies. Once we get into the realm of us who have more-than-plenty, we see the problems of, say, commodity fetishism and giganto-greed and vastly unequal concentration of wealth and that thing that I don’t have a name for it but essentially it’s when someone wants to make a profit on selling something that doesn’t really do any good but that people buy anyway because they don’t really pay attention.
That was almost on the level with Atlas Shrugged. And I enjoyed your stint as a right-wing facist.
