OMG! your puppy is so cute! how old is she now? she is adorable. I have a 10 week old puppy, named Bella also. She is a pitt/lab/shar-pei mix and so far I have trained her to sit, give paw, and stay (for a few seconds). Do you have any pointers? what kind of clicker are you using? How do you teach them to roll over and the bang bang trick?

Hi, I recently was given a female yellow lab. I would love to train her as well as Bella. Can you give tips on training her? she is about the same age as bella and was originaly being trained as a police dog. Not sure why she didnt make the team, but she is smart. In one night, I had her trained to wait for me to go up stairs first and to sit. Thanks for any pointers you might have.

What a good girl, Sweet Bella! She is very smart and you are very good at teaching her. She’s a beauty! How did you learn to train her so well? I wish you could come to my house and spend some time with my 140-lb yellow American Labrador Retriever. He can sit – but that is about it. I loved this video and Bella is wonderful. God Bless You!

Very impressive! Could you tell us how you learned to use the clicker and to teach these tricks properly? Are there dvd’s or books that you recommend?

They were actually used origanally to train sea animals. Dolphins, orcas, seals, etc. Animals to powerful to force into a behavior. Clicker training (or “conditioned reinforcement”) is now used to train everything from dogs to horses. All animals remember things longer when they themselves actually learn it, not are forced to do it. You can get a clicker at any pet supply store. The cheap ones are only around a dollar or two. Try it!
