I dont think it is safe to be taking picture disrespectfully while the puppy is being born.

they cant help her if they help her pull the puppie out
they could easily break a bone or hurt the puppie
my schnauzer has giving birth 4 times already
while having the puppies they have to do it on there on
    but after that
    we can help
but never pull a puppie out you could hurt the puppie and the momma

i love shnauzers! adorable dogs. My maltese had her first litter last week and I have to agree about letting the dam do her thing. We tried to get in and help her with the first two pups and cut off one’s cord too soon, it almost bled to death. The last two however, we didn’t interfeare and she did PERFECT on her own and the puppies are so cute

    Yup. All three of them.

    was it a breech?

  20. williebori on March 18th, 2010 12:49 am

Usually our puppies are born without help and, so far, there hasn’t been a problem. This was her first birth, but she knew what to do. Its usually better that way. If we touch the puppies during labor, she might abandon them.

Why didn’t you help your bitch to born a puppy? I see it was hard to her….?

  22. williebori on March 18th, 2010 12:49 am

lol, yeah. I thought so at the beginning. But she was fine. Afterwards she starting barking incessantly. =)

    Gross yet kind of cute!
No offence intended but the puppy looked a tad lifeless. Was it OK?
