Please help me, I have a new puppy I have crate trained him no problem, he goes pee pee on his weewee pad but he always goes number two in the house, any suggestions what to do i am frustrated.

I’ve taught this to pups in my “fenced” back yard with no leash on. You have to follow the dog around the yard chanting the buzz word or command. Or course you’re ALWAYS going to have your dog leashed when out of your yard (and in training). Also… (sounds gross but..) I stack a little poop in one area of the yard when training a pup for this. I take the pup to that area and it helps a dog to THINK ABOUT GOING when they smell pheromones from the feces already there. Very nifty!
This guy is right on. I learned this tip years ago and I tell ya…when traveling with dogs it’s so nice to hop them out of the car - tell them your command (our phrase is a quickly spoken whisper of -potty!potty! ) and no joke…they “stop…drop…an go”.

Hello. I have a male Shih-tzu and he simply won’t pee or poo anywhere inside our property. We have to walk him out 3 times a day, no matter what the weather is like. If we dont walk outside, he won’t do it. Do you have any idea of how to get him to do his stuff in the backyard? Thanks…
