I hope to God above that you don’t have any animals. It’s people like you who are animal abusers.

Thank you for getting the word out on this horrid topic.

If any of you has seen the movie “Roots” (which is a true story) you can easily see this is like buying a slave to work for your plantation. (and if you haven’t seen “Roots” please look it up on Wikipedia and watch the full movie) and What if you where one of the dogs? Just bought and made to work.
I really hope these people will somehow get some kind of heart in themselves.

Look at all the smug, self-justifying Amish people in this video! Disgusting animal abusers! Dogs are social animals; they cannot live this way.

This is why there is an overabundance of strays/homeless animals today. I don’t know if it’s illegal (it should be) but charges must be made for these mills & the people who purchase them to breed. Petco & Petsmart help with adoption probably because they are so known. But many lesser known pet stores I ran into unfortunately get their animals via mills. :(

okay cruxwe it is good that all of the dogs are taken care of but you shouldn’t be running one anyways. it’s a sick industry to get involved with.

  11. silkySOS on January 16th, 2009 5:41 am

So sad that this is a legitimate business. I just rescued 2 adults from a mill in KS last week. They are so emotionally scarred. With love and patience, I hope to reverse some of the heartbreaking memories they live with.

  12. silkySOS on January 16th, 2009 5:41 am

You are no doubt ignorant and heartless. I rescued 2 adults from a mill in KS last week. They are emotionally damaged. Shame on you and all of the mill operators who choose this as their way of life. You are a soul-less lot!

    Most are Amish.
    Holy crap.

  14. MistakenGenius on January 16th, 2009 5:41 am

OMG, people selling dogs, god d*mn capitalism.

  15. Kennedale01 on January 16th, 2009 5:41 am

And an important equation is pet stores = puppy mills. Reputable breeders never sell to stores. Some pet stores have finally let their ethics outweigh their pocketbooks and stopped selling puppies: stores like Petco and PetSmart began hosting adoption groups. However, there are still many stores such as Posh Puppy, Pets of Bel Air, and Petland that continue to get their “stock” from puppy mills.

I HOPE THESE EVIL PEOPLE COME BACK AS PUPPYMILL DOGS! When is this going to end, it will end when people stop buying puppies & kittens in petstores and on the internet-THAT IS WHEN THE PUPPYMILLS WILL SHUT DOWN!

  17. cruxwe on January 16th, 2009 5:41 am

I own a puppy mill it doesnt run this way. our dogs are kept in a conditioned building and fed three times a day and females are not impreginated every time they come to heat and dogs there are kept in clean cages and they are not crowded + they receive vet care and are not inbred and pups are looked after in my puppy mill and all dogs are bathed once a week + they are all fat and chubby and when a dog gets sick we quarantine him and all our dogs are pedigree (FYI)

If you insist on raising dogs to sell, why not respect them and treat them kindly? A happy, healthy dog makes happy, healthy puppies. They are such sweet and loving animals. Be responsible, for heaven sakes.

    very heartbreaking to see this

  20. swilder2006 on January 16th, 2009 5:41 am

honestly, my family raises cattle. when i started watching this video, it reminded me of a cattle auction. im not quite so soft hearted towards cattle, but this breaks my heart. i dont see how a person can look into a dogs eyes and regard it as a piece of meat to be made to reproduce.

  21. melliewilkes1 on January 16th, 2009 5:41 am

All I can say is what goes around, comes around. Whether you believe in Karma, a God or an afterlife. You get what’s coming too you. Did you notice that the vast majority of the people at this auction were Amish? They are heavy into puppy mills. Bastards will get whats coming to them.

  22. chattarip on January 16th, 2009 5:41 am

You are right girlie that is why we should raise our own meat. The same way with dogs if you get a dog from a friend even if it was and accidental litter. It doesn’t make sense to buy a high dollar dog from a puppy farm because they probably aren’t bred right anyway.

  23. jayvee320 on January 16th, 2009 5:41 am

actually, the amish believe that animals were put here to serve them. they are nothing more to them than cattle. they actually asked one guy who took an unwanted breeder off their hands what he did with her. when he said she lives inside his house and runs his land, they said “you let them sleep in the house? but they’re animals!”

  24. oohdaykang on January 16th, 2009 5:41 am

people can deny it all they want, but it’s not going to make the truth go away, puppy mills = dog abuse…

  25. girliehun on January 16th, 2009 5:41 am

the factory farming industry is worse and YOU ALL SUPPORT it by EATING MEAT!
